Internet Connection - ADSL USB Speedtouch Modem
I've installed MandrakeLinux 10.1 fine, except for an Internet Connection as i am having some trouble with it. I have a ADSL USB Speedtouch Modem(which is recognised), i then select to take a microcode from my windows partition(which seems to work fine), i then select BT as my ADSL provider because Wanadoo isn't on the list, then i've tried both PPP over ATM and PPPoE, but when it comes to testing the connection it never connects. Saying reconfigure. I've made sure all my username and password are correct as well.
Any help much appreciated!

Use this:
http://www.230volts.co.uk/~mbaldwin/...06-2004.tar.gz
This is a very useful program and it also can use the windows microcode. If you didn't already know, save the file in somewhere like /usr/src , then do as root:
# tar zxvf speedtouchconf-19-06-2004.tar.gz
# cd speedtouchconf-19-06-2004
# sh speedtouchconf.sh
....and just follow the instructions. The biggest security threat is the user.
