    GPRS Modem

    Hi everyone
    In Windows Xp i can connect to internet using my Sony Ericssn T230 phone as a GPRS modem though Com1( /dev/ttyS0). But In mandrake Linux I tried in the same way. I got the connection panel and there it is saying Sending PPPD... (and even the phone is displaying the messege connecting..)Something but it is not connecting. Can some one tell me what is happening?

    The number i am dialing is *99*1# as same as WINXP

    Hello, I think that the number is *99***1#... or at least that's mine.


    I have a serial (RS232) cable and my current problem is that I can't use a higher baud rate than 9600.
    In Windows I managed to achieve this with the t200 modem driver.
    For linux, I found this and this but I have not tried them yet.

    Sorry for answering to this topic, it's probably old, but I'm curious if you managed to connect with this phone from Linux.
