    Slow networking/internet !

    Fedora 4. My network/internet performance seems slow ( ?)

    Cant understand it. Im using the x86_64 DVD FC4.

    Its not as if the system isnt capable:

    Ath64 3000+ Venice.
    1GB DDR400
    Gigabit Broadcom integrated NIC

    ...Just browsing the web seems slow in Firefox. Its odd.

    I thought I'd post this in here and get a better response than in the dedicated Fedora area.

    Ive enabled IPv6 in the Network Device Control GUI. Found in Apps > System Tools.

    I restarted. It seems marginally faster.

    I have noticed in the Hardware tab of this GUI. Clicking Edit, reveals its IRQ is unknown.

    Could this be the problem? How can I find its IRQ? Bios?

    I had a similar problem in FC2 and 3 and fixed it by disabling IPV6 (added alias net-pf-10 off to /etc/modprobe.conf).
