dial up connection
hi all,
most sbc dsl users have a dial up account just incase if they travel.
my question is,
is it possible to dial up from fc3 and how?
my broadband works just fine, but since I travel, I will need to dial-up into sbc access points.

Hi I believe the following is what you need to change
cd /etc/chatscripts
ee provider
Edit the file so it looks something like this
ABORT BUSY
ABORT "NO CARRIER"
ABORT VOICE
ABOIRT "NO DIALTONE"
"" ATST5551212 (put the phone number to dial the ISP)
ogin bgates (login name)
word \qLUVLINUX (password)
You may have to tell it you want to use dial up
check out www.aboutdebian.com - there is load sof info on there.
