I am trying to install speedtouch USB modem to my newly installed Fedora 4 O/S. I have tried numerous web sites which explain how to TAR new firmware for the modem. The problem is that I'm a dummie as far as these things are concerned and the instructions are really complex. At the moment I have downloaded a Speedtouch 330 firmware 3012 zip folder containing two files. The one I need is ZZZL 3.012 but I really need detailed instructions about what to do next, like Where and how do I install this? I have been to the Speedtouch USB driver homepage and tried various linux websites but as I have said they are very complicated. There must be some expert, who can describe in simple form an answer to this problem.
