    I'm not sure what kind of "arbitrary non-network information" you are talking about, but with a MIB browser, you can use SNMP to get more or less everything about the configuration of a PC/server/router/whatever_box_running_snmp (network related or not). Not only you can get it, but you can also set it.
    Can you be more specific?
