type rpm -qa | grep samba and see if swat is installed.
Swat runs in a browser http://localhost:901
Where it is depends on what disks you have
cd /mnt/cdrom/RedHat/RPMS should take yoy to the directory to check

Hi Chris
Thanks for the help... using rpm -qa.... did not find samba-swat in rpm packages that are installed. Also the only packages on rh 7.2 cd's are samba, samba-common, and samba-client. Went and downloaded samba-swat-2.2.1a-4 and tried to install (rpm -ivh). Got following Error: unpacking of archive failed: cpio: bad magic: segmentation fault. So gave up on 2.2.1a-4 and downloaded 2.2.3a-6 from rpm.find.net. Samba, common, client and swat all installed ok. Now I will work on config. Sorry I did not reply sooner but work and respondsibilities can get in the way of fun and recreation.

RPM segfaulted? Heh, thats the first time I've ever heard about that :P
Maybe its a bad archive, try to download a new one from samba's homepage or redhat's ftp..
