Error communicating with XP
Hi all,
I have a problem in communicating between two machines I have (XP and Linux), as far as FTP and Telnet.
From the linux side, I can neither telnet nor ftp to the XP machine.
From the XP, I can telnet, but not FTP to the linux box. When I try to FTP as root, I get the following error message: '530 Must perform authentication before identifying USER.'
I made some research, and I found a suggestion to do a ntsysv, deselect gssftp, but that causes a different problem (ftp: connect unknown error number). I checked the no-ftp related files, and nothing seems to be listed there (neither for user root, nor any other user).
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards.
