IP address information
I am trying to find my IP address and am getting 2 different results.
When I run the command ifconfig in linux, I get some 192.168.x.x generic address. but when i go to a website like www.whatismyip.com I get a more realistic address.
Is there a command which I can use to find the second ip address without having to go to a website??

The IP that the website is providing is your internet connection's IP. Most likely you are behind a router so no, there is no way to tell what the internet facing IP is.
You could plug your computer directly into the internet, but that would be pointless.
