modem problem
i have a zyxel omni56k uno usb modem, when i first started linux (asplinux 10, 2.6.9) kudzu had recognized it as "ZyDAS 56k USB Modem" and tried to set it up (it has created /dev/ttyACM0). But i have no any usb device in /dev (/dev/usb dir is absent too) in spite of the fact that usb mouse and keyboard are working properly... the problem is that it doesn't dial...
do i need an initial string for modem?

what does the command /sbin/lsusb show?
And am I right in thinking that you have set your dialer (kppp ?) to use the device /dev/ttyACM0 ?
