What I had in mind was building a render farm, but I'm having difficulty finding a rendering engine that supports network rendering.
Then I had heard a rumor of a linux distro that shares proccessing power with other PCs that are running it. Sooo... my crazy idea is (if this distro exists) is to have one Linux box do all the 3d modelling/scripting, and then run the render program, but use my other PCs (running this distro) to share the proccessing load.
Could this be done?
Is there a Linux distro out there that supports processor and RAM sharing?
Or could this be done using a kernel modification?
