dhcpcd on ethernet=OK, on wifi without encr=OK, on encr<>OK
I'm still not able after several attempts to connect to our encrypted wireless network...
ath0 IEEE 802.11g ESSID:"xxxxxx" Nickname:"host"
Mode:Managed Frequency:2.437 GHz Access Point: XXXXXXXXXXX
Bit Rate:36 Mb/s Tx-Power:18 dBm Sensitivity=0/3
Retry:off RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
Encryption key:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Security mode:open
Link Quality=37/94 Signal level=-58 dBm Noise level=-95 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:2 Invalid misc:2 Missed beacon:0
What seems odd is that the 'Rx invalid nwid:n' really runs up quickly. All others numbers will be 0/1/2 but that one has been up to 1000 after trying for a while.
Wifi on non-enc is ok, on the encrypted router it will allow KDE to connect and the card (Netgear) flashes with the 'connected' indication style flash, KWifiManager says it's connected but dhcpcd won't give an IP address and the KWifiManager says IP address not available.
