as root, use the lspci command in the command line to get the device id of the netowrk card. e.g. for me, my network cards are as follows:
0000:00:04.0 Ethernet controller: nVidia Corporation nForce Ethernet Controller (rev c2) 0000:01:07.0 Network controller: Texas Instruments ACX 111 54Mbps Wireless Interface
