i am using sony laptop .modell is PCG-K25. and i want to use wireless internet connection of my university..also i am using mandrake 10.1..iin" configure my computer " i selected new connection wizard and selected wilress connection after that it offered me select the driver manually...which one should i chooose??or anything that i must to do before selecting the appropriate driver..???thanks for reading..

as root, use the lspci command in the command line to get the device id of the netowrk card. e.g. for me, my network cards are as follows:
Now, the pciid for my wireless card is 0000:01:07.0Code:0000:00:04.0 Ethernet controller: nVidia Corporation nForce Ethernet Controller (rev c2) 0000:01:07.0 Network controller: Texas Instruments ACX 111 54Mbps Wireless Interface
