I just upgraded from Mandrake linux 8.1 to linux Mandrake 10.1 and now my modem isn't being detected. I've used Mandrake configuration and asked it to autodetect modems but it is not. When I test the modem using Mandrake configuration it says the modem isn't connected. When I try to connect through kppp it says the modem is busy. I'm ready to go back to vs8.1 where it was so easy to get connected to the internet. What am I doing wrong or missing.

ps modemtool and statserial would not work for me either
