    Linux Networking

    ok hello i'm a total newbie here and i just started using linux. i was wondering if some one can give me instructions on how to network linux to linux and linux to windows. just a basic run down on the step by step process cause i guess it would be almost the same on the various versions of linux

    Try setting up a samba server. it allows for linux to linux and linkx to windows and linux to mac....

    Most distros come with samba on their installation media, so you can install it from there. Now, when setting up samba, I suggest you google around for this howto: "The Unofficial SAMBA howto"
