    Linux Home Networking

    Hi you'all how are you doing
    Listen I'm runnning Redhat linux 9.0 at my home and I have a laptop with Win XP Pro, and I would like to know how i can set up a home networking that way I can share files between the redhat computer and the windows computer. So here I'm, looking for help!

    First if you could explain in detail who your home network is setup and the start looking at a linux app called "Samba" which you setup on your linux box and can then share folders/files between computer with or without passwords etc...

    As a work around you can create (if you don't have one already) a fat32 partion on either machine. Then from windows map to it if its on linux or from linux mount it if its on the win box via the network connection.
