    can't seem to connect to the internet


    this is what i have in my settings:
    network configuration
    tab devices both profiles are check
    status some times i can get both status in active
    devices ethernet connection other devices is xdsl connection
    the nic card is realtek rtl-8139, smc ez ca
    host name under dns is www.testmypage.com
    primary dns is 192.168.0.1
    secondary dns none
    tertiary dns none
    dns search path none
    host tab ip 127.0.0.1
    name www.testmypage.com
    aliases testmypage
    ethernet device
    under general
    nickname etho
    active device when computer start check on
    automatically obtain ip address setting with dhcp
    automatically obtain dns information from provider check on
    xdsl
    automatically obtain dns information from provider check on but letters are greyout
    statically set ip address
    manual ip address setting
    adress 192.168.0.1
    subnet mask 255.255.255.0
    default gateway address 192.168.0.1
    provider tab provider name sbc
    login name same as isp provider master account
    password same as isp account
    in advanced the only one check is make this connection the default route

    allow all user to enable and disable the device check off
    when i enter ifconfig i get no results, i only get results when i enter
    code: su - then i enter password for root
    then i enter ifconfig and i get results for ethernet, lo, and pppoe
