Squid is timing out on a particular site...
Hi
I'm running Red Hat 9 and Squid 2.4. Whenever I try to access this site:
httP;//advance.bradford.library.on.ca:8000 I get a time out error (110). The page is a login for a secure site. I have heard of people having problems viewing such sites, but this is the only site that I can't view. If I disable the proxy server I can view the site, but there are computers on my network that require the proxy server for any kind of internet access. It is very important that all computers on my network can view this site, as it is necessary for work. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. Thank You

do you have a firewall that is blocking outbound connections to port 8000 on the proxy server? i would guess that is the most likely cause.

I wish it were that easy, but no, port 8000 is not blocked by my firewall...
