Help with AT&T 6550G on Ubuntu
Hi Im downloading ubuntu linux for my 64bit AMD pc right now. i had tried a few different 64bit distros in the past and none have worked except for ubuntu. the only problem i had before was my wireless wouldnt work, so im going to give it another try. i have a PCI 6550G AT&T wireless adapter. and im totally new to linux. can anyone help me set it up? anyhelp much appreciated! thanks!

i did some research and i think the 6550g uses the Atheros chipset so that means i can use madwifi...now can someone for one varify this for me and two can someone explain how exactly to do this?

ok so someone else on another forum suggested ndiswrapper and this seems like the best choice. im going to use this seeing as a already have a driver cd that came with it to use with windows. can someone tell me how to set up ndiswrapper??? thanks
