please tell me whihc modem is best for Mandriva 2006 with kernel 2.6.12-12.....
i tried rockwell and conexant modem but they are not working after installing their appropriate drivers ...

i tried rockwell and conexant modem but they are not working after installing their appropriate drivers from www.linuxant.com. now please tell me which modem i used to connect with internet.

i think your modom problem is due to line problems. But if you want a modom go for a external serial modom (not a usb one)

non of them, due to them being software modems. A external serial modem is the only one garenteed, to work on most OSs and be a hardware one
