I'm pretty sure it does.
I didn't have to start it, it was started by default.
To access your windows box tpe smb:/ in your browser.
Although there is a smb.conf-sample file which need to be tweaked and renamed smb.conf.
Also search for SMB-HOWTO on your pc. Have a read of that.

If it doesn't, just go to www.samba.org and download the current verison.
