HOw Activate My modem
I recently added the d-link data/voice/fax 56kbps dialup modem,after added the modem at the time of booting redhatlinux9 automatically configured the modem.In KDI desktop environment using the kppp application i configured the modem and created dial up account.When I Excuting the modem query there is no results in modem query and When i clicked the connect button ,Stauts is going to connect but that is still there there is no result.

sounds like you are not pointing at the correct device. If your modem plugs into a serial port (called Com ports in Windows) then the device to use is /dev/ttyS0 (this would be called Com1 in Windows land), if it is pkugged into the second serial port (if you have more than one), then it is called /dev/ttyS1 (which would be called Com2 in windows).
