Laptop firewall? Thanks in advance for the help.
Does anyone know a distro of Linux that I can throw on an old laptop that will act as a firewall... like ipcop or smoothwall... something that support pcmcia and will run on a minimal, old laptop?
any help would be appreciated...
thanks

How about gentoo? It runs great on older hardware and a Stage 3 install is easy enough to do. Just follow their home routing guide to get it working after you complete a stage 3 install.
Life is complex, it has a real part and an imaginary part.

You've mentioned smoothwall but have you tried it? It's what I use for my firewall, but I'm not sure about the PCMCIA support.
