    Routing table

    hi to all,
    i am new to network programming in linux.
    i want to add one bit for each prefix in routing table ?
    how can i do this ?
    can anybody tell me , where and how the routes get compared in the routing process ?
    i mean whenever a packet destined for remote host comes , then where and how kernel chooses the proper route for that packet .....
