Good evening
I wan't to make a direct connection between my PC (Debian) and a Testserver (Debian).
But i have the following problem:
1. No connection with a normal Patch-Cable ...

Connection failures
Good evening

I wan't to make a direct connection between my PC (Debian) and a Testserver (Debian).
But i have the following problem:
1. No connection with a normal Patch-Cable ...
2. No connection with a cross over
3. Connection with a normal Patch-Cable from a Notebook to Server
4. Connection with a normal Patch-Cable from the same Notebook to my PC
But i need the connection between my PC and the Server
If i try with i cross over, my server gives the following output:
and this message is repeated till i disconnect the cable.eth0: link up, 100Mbps, full-duplex, lpa 0x41E1
eth0: link down
the network cards are working, i tried some different cards too!!!
but what could be the problem???
