setting IP , Gateway and Subnet mask addr

hello could I set the IP address gate way subnet maks address for my ethernet card on FC5 in graphical mode

Run the network configuration tool. It's on the menu somewhere, but you can run it from the command line too with:

system-config-network

am I ready to surf the Internet or should I make any configuration for the ADSL Modem I am using.

If it works in Windows, there is no reason to change anything for Linux.

hey no Man it works fine for that IP address and Gateway address but not on Linux.

I do not know why. displays a message saying "unable to find the server".

what can I do?


do you think do I have to configure Modem?
