connection speed linux vs winxp
I have 3 computers connected to a Linksys wrt54g router.
First is an IBM P4 2.4G running Suse 10
Second is an IBM P4 2.4G running WinXP.
Third is P4 3G clone running Fedora 5.
The speed test show both Linuxes running at 1800-2000 kbps and the WinXP running at 4600-4800 kbps. How can I (if possible) speed up the Linux connections? It's just for home use and I'd rather use Linux than M$.
I'm not too computer savvy (just enough to get Linux running in GUI!!) so any help would be appreciated.

Could this be caused by running both IPv4 and IPv6 at the same time? You can turn off IPv6 by putting 'alias net-pf-10 off' at the end of your /etc/modprobe.conf (or whatever you distro calls it) file and rebooting.
