Hi I have installed redhat through windows xp, using virtual pc 2004 and now i have the lovly job of getting it to work through vpc and onto the net,
now the problem i am having is that i have zone alarm pro firewall and interquick proxy program and i can not get access to the net,
How can i handle this situation, can some one help?

Cant you just give VPC unlimited acess to the internet. About the proxy, check your documentation for setting up linux to use a proxy

well tried that did not work i think the proxy is messing it up

Most likely. I belive that you need to set up your card to use the proxy with ifconfig. At least i think its ifconfig.
Edit. This should be under networking, asking about proxies and linux.

cheers all sorted now managed to add the dns server address and have it connect to the net now cheers
