Hi, mummaneni,
I myself use Conky, which is a very nice, light sistem monitor. I have it settup to show the up/down networking with a small graph for both. There are also many such monitors, depending on the desktop you use. I know that KDE, Gnome and Xfce all have such monitors. I can't remember the CLI command for networking usage right now, you should be able to find it via google.

Hi Mummaneni
I am Rohit.
I am facing same problem as you faced while putting your ethernet interface.
Its sayng that "eth0:device seems not to be present".
Please tell me the solution for it.
Thanks

You will have to first configure your internet connection. Perhaps it's using something other than 'eth0', what is the output of 'ifconfig'?
