Samba Problems
Hello, I am running PC Linux OS and I am having problems with Samba. I can access my network computers which are Windows XP. I cannot however get to my share from those computers. The Samba made this computer in the workgroup of "MDKGROUP". I wanted it to be "WORKGROUP". I tried to change everything in "ect/samba/samba.conf" but I made it worse somehow, so I deleted everything in that folder. How do I start from scratch and make it so I can access my shares from a windows xp computer and from the workgroup "WORKGROUP"?

First of all, you shouldn't have delted the contents of /etc/samba. However, since you have, your best bet would be to reinstall Samba. Once you get things back to where they should be, post back and we will help you get thing rolling.
