Linux Driver For WiMax 802.16

Intel plan to put WiMax Mobile 802.16e capability on EVERY CENTRINO based laptop in 2007.
WiMax enable high speed wireless internet with maximum speed of 70 Mbps and with the coverage area of 50 Km.

Unfortunately I cannot find any Linux driver for WiMax 802.16-2004 (fixed) or 802.16e (Mobile).
Is there any driver for WiMax fixed or mobile?

I know that one of Nokia's tablets (N770??) runs linux and has a WiMax interface. I'm not sure if the driver has been released or is on the way. I'm sure as soon as they hit the market properly Intel will release the drivers as they always do, followed by an OSS community driver. I can't find any trace now though.

I guess you can write your own linux driver for wimax right?
Even we are on WiMax development.....we have developed driver on our own
can you be more specific..what are the things that you require in driver....

Prof. Clemens Cap PhD plan to create Opensource Wimax, but failed because lack of support from vendors. Perhaps the best option is creating NDIS Wrapper, similar to WiFi.

Other standards: WiBro (Korea), HSDPA (14 Mbps).
