is there commands to access my isp's cable modem
i was checking ethereal out and when i turned it on i noticed, my cable modem going nuts with arp broadcasts, from what it looked like it was doing what a dhcp does when it sends a broadcast out asking who is who, but it was doing all 127.0.0.1-100 (using 127.0.0.1-100 as an example) does a cable modem noramlly do that? is there anyway i can access it?

Yes, this is common and is referred to as dynamic routing used with RIP and OSPF routing. As for accessing your ISP modem, you are generally not able to access the device.
