Linux Beginner Software Installation Questions
I am completely open to linux, but i am a newbie to it. I hate the microsoft empire and want to get as far away from it as possible. The problem is...i cant find any programs that work with linux. Do I have to compile all the files i want to install? I used linux once, but i was mega confused. I hate microsoft for making me adapt to their stupid OS

Your going to need to be a little more specific.
What programs are you trying to install?
What OS are you using, as in are you using RedHat or Mandrake or SuSe or ......?

I assumed it had something to do with SCO.
