    hello,
    i am not bble to see my linux machine in my network neigbhorhood.I think i need to make some services up to make it visible and can anyone help me out in this issue..

    i am using Red hat linux ver 6.2

    "Network Neighborhood"? Can I assume that you are referring to that Microsoft contraption? In that case, you will need to install an NMB/SMB server. The de-facto standard such for Linux is Samba:
