linux ip bridge and windows 2000
The linux bridge has 100MB fiber coming in, a static ip, and a crossover cable going to the W2K box. The W2K box is DHCP.
In general the setup works good but every once in awhile the W2K box does not appear to be connected.
Has anyone seen something like this? I am not sure where I should start to investigate?
If the linux bridge goes down the W2K box loses it network connection (as it should) but if you reboot the bridge should it all (linux and W2K connection) come back working fine (I think it should) or should I have to reboot the W2K box?
Sorry if this is a little vague I am trying to track down the issue and have run out of things to try/look at.
