    Internal Modem Not Working

    Hi!
I recently installed RH9 on my PC and configured a dualboot system with Winxp. My problem is that I cannot Configure my internal Modem to work with RH9. Its a Conexant Internal Modem. Its on the second PCI slot and in XP, it it using the COM3 port. so , theoretically, my modem should be located in /dev/ttyS3 , but i cannot get it to work. Any Help will be apprecialted. Thanx

That's probably because it's a Winmodem. They aren't even designed to work in Windows. If you're lucky, there may be a driver for it on http://www.linmodems.org/.

    Hi,

    if you want free drivers,
look at the output of lspci see if it is hcf or hsf, then grab one.
