Linux Kiosk webstation?
Can internet connect be activated on startup?
I set up a guest desktop user as the default bootup but cant configure it to connect to the internet either at startup or during user session without the use of root passwrd. Such that any user who wants to can use the internet without requiring the root password (for example at a public library). Ideally a 'kiosk' mode of operation (turn on computer: browser and connection all done.let it run without being there).
Im a relative newcomer to this. I guess the correct question is: Can a startup script activate internet at bootup complete with the browser ready?
Any help would be appreciated.
