ok i installed mandrake 9.2 dual booted with winxp, anyways i have the onboard gigabit ethernet card(drivers not install but have the cd), and when mandrake boots up every time ...

ok i installed mandrake 9.2 dual booted with winxp, anyways i have the onboard gigabit ethernet card(drivers not install but have the cd), and when mandrake boots up every time it check for eth0 and it sits there for ages then i says claiming 127.255.255.255, then reboots. i guess i need to install the drivers manualy. some helpful commands or any sugestions.

Can't you permanently set the new changes for the card in DarkConnect/DrakX?

so it wont even boot?
use a resuce/install cd to edi tthe /etc/modules.conf file on yoru hard drive, comment ou teh line for eth0 so it doesnt load at boot. then run the config tools to set it up properly
