debian network card headaches
Hi, i just installed debian last night
but i'm having trouble getting it on my network. When i tried ifconfig eth0 which i assumed would already be configured it told me no such device and now i am clueless as to how to get it recognised. The box used to run rh9 which was all aouto configure so i'm lost with this
Thanks in advance!

What network card have you got?? You more then likely need to load the module for it then setup your network manualy since you did not configure it during setup. Id also think of upgrading the Kernel not that there is anything wrong with 2.2.x kernels.
