Hi, all.

I am using a UMTS phone as a modem, connected to a computer running Ubuntu Linux 2.6.15-26-server.

The problem is that I can not get higher speed than about 240 kbits/second. Connecting the phone to a Windows machine works better, about 320 kbit/s.
I am using a SonyEricsson K600i with original USB cable, and a Motorola A835 with original cable. Same problem on both phones.

I've been browsing the net for a while looking for answers, but the few ones I found was about UMTS PC cards, not modems.

Speed is set to 460800 is /etc/ppp/options which should allow for the theoretical maximum speed of 384 kbps. No compression.

Has anyone experienced the same problem? I wonder if this is a driver problem or a misconfiguration.
