Knoppix - Netwoking Help
Hi all,
I am pretty new to Linux and decided to try out Knoppix as it is a Live CD version of debian.
My Network:
My computer (PC) ------- Billion 5100 (ADSL ROUTER) ------- Laptop
(Knoppix 3.3) (Win XP Pro)
My problem starts here i want to be able to network the PC to the Laptop and be able to share files. My PC will run Knoppix off the CD drive ( Not installed on my HDD) and the laptop will run Windows Xp Pro. i can use the internet on my PC and Laptop without any hassles because knoppix auto config. the router for me but i cannot share files between the two PC's and would like some help from all you Linux Gurus out there
Thanks all

easy and hard
file sharing with windows and linux. two options.
easy - start the ftp daemon on the linux box and use that.
harder - setup samba on the linux box. much harder due to the cd problem. you really need to save the config files.
why not email yourself files? No trees were harmed during the creation of this message. Its made from a blend of elephant tusk and dolphin meat.
