Having Network Problems?
I went through a long time of trying to figure out why the Linux distros I would install could not access my network in any form, except for software updates. It had been working before.
I had been asking around these forums, and no one could figure out my problem. So I figured it out on my own: for some odd reason, [insert name of almost any distro] likes to put the IP address of my DSL modem rather than repeating the DNS IP (since I only have one DNS server provided by my ISP). So if you're having problems, edit your dhcp file.
Just thought I'd post this incase anyone else was having networking problems...
