Static IP on Server, cannot ping outside of subnet.
I have setup a server on my school's network that is going to be a DNS server. I have configured the static IP, netmask, gateway, dns servers, hostname in Linuxconf and I have edited the hosts file to correspond with Linuxconf. I can ping anything inside of the subnet but not outside of it.
For example: my IP: 10.3.26.10 I can ping anything inside of 10.3.26.* but I cannot ping anything outside of that.

check the gateway ip address, and check with the owner of the gateway that it is configured and working correctly, and allows ICMP to pass through it.
