PVM has stopped working properly
I am a new PVM user. My Linux Cluster is a Redhat Cluster with one server and 23 nodes. Recently, I rebooted the system. Since that time, one of my users is able to ssh into the server and start pvm, but he cannot add any nodes to his vm. When he tries, he gets this sort of error:
pvm> add 126.96.36.199
188.8.131.52 Can't start pvmd
Auto-Diagnosing Failed Hosts...
Verifying Local Path to "rsh"...
Rsh found in /usr/bin/rsh - O.K.

Make sure host 220.127.116.11 is up and connected to
a network and check its DNS / IP address.
Also verify that bluesrv is allowed
rsh access on 18.104.22.168
Add this line to the $HOME/.rhosts on 22.214.171.124:
And if he tries the conf command he gets:
[jsmith@bluesrv jsmith]$ pvm pvmhosts
1 host, 1 data format
HOST DTID ARCH SPEED DSIG
bluesrv 40000 LINUXI386 1000 0x00408841
If I ssh into the root account, however, everything works fine. And one of our other users is also having no problem at all (normal operation) when he ssh's into the server from his remote machine.
Can anyone provide some hints as to what to check on here and as to what might have changed? I have the idea that since this works for some users and not others that the nodes are configured properly and that everything is OK with the network setup, etc. But I have no idea where to begin.
Can anyone help?
