    External Modem


    I'm going to buy an external modem, do you guys know a model that will have linux drivers. And can I buy a modem that will support both Dial-Up and ADSL because I'm going to use dial-up now and ADSL later. Please help me with this problem Thank you.

    I don't think there are modems that support both dial up and ADSL. If you are looking for a dial up modem, then I suggest you look for any serial (RS232) modems if your computer has a serial port. If you don't have a serial port, some USB modems work well with Linux. Take a look at some of the Linux hardware compatibility sites and you may find out which usb modems work.
