I live in a fraternity in Washington State University, and as the resident Computer Engineer (even though I'm still a freshman) I was recruited to be the network administrator.

Here's the thing, my main job is making sure the internet is working well and fast. We have two DSL lines, 1.5 mbps down and 384 kbps up.

I want to balance the internet traffic between them so no one line is ever shouldering most of the burden, speeding up the traffic. How would I do this?

Now, we have a server, but the guy before me screwed the whole thing up and it doesn't perform that job, which it originally did. I can get the hardware info if required, as well as specifics on the ISP, etc.
