    FTP User Permissions

    Hi, I have a CENTOS and need help for the next:

    Is there any way to create a user permission in order to have a user to save on a directory a file but with no permission to delete anything. Thatīs because the user is uploading files via FTP but I need that the user donīt delete the file once the file is on the server..

    Thanks for your support.

    if the user can save in a directory, the user has write permissions there;
    but any user with write permissions on a directory/file, can delete it also.
    Your only hope I can see is to write a snoppy script, that changes permissions
    once the user has finished writing.
