Internet access problem > DNS problem?

    Hi,

I have an ADSL Router (with Wlan) configured as a NAT gateway. On my laptop I have a winxp by which I get a faultless internet connection through that NAT gateway.

On my desktop I have a linux (fedora) by which I can only randomly access internet (through that NAT) and when I do it is only a couple of sites that I can access (and those accessible sites vary). It seems to me as a DNS problem.

I tried to pin point the cause of this problem by stopping my iptables service, but that didn't help. In any case I don't have enough knowledge to solve this problem.

I would appreciate a lot if someone could help me with this.

    Thank you.

    partial solution

I managed to solve that aforementioned problem, which was a DNS problem.
For some reason dhclient script addresses the NAT gateway as a nameserver.
That configuration worked only randomly? Replacing the NAT gateway with a
    proper nameserver solved the problem.

Why doesn't dhclient script retrieve a proper nameserver? What could be
    the problem with that?
