I can add a new internet connection fine, but what do I use to start a dial up connection,
I can enable the connection, but it doesnt dialup?????

you can install and use wvdial... it's a cmd-line utility for establishing a PPP connection via modem.. you'll need to edit /etc/wvdial.conf once you instal wvdial to tell it what number to dial, your user/pass, etc
Their code will be beautiful, even if their desks are buried in 3 feet of crap. - esr
