How to use gFTP for FTP server?
Guys, bear with me. I've read through a bunch of posts and what not for the last couple of hours. I am a complete noob with FTP. I've never tried to setup a server or anything. What I'm trying to do is setup a FTP server so I can share a work file with someone over the internet. I have my file and I have gFTP installed and open. What now? What do I need to send him so he'll know how to connect and get my file? I'm lost and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thx!

If you want to setup a ftp server, try this link
http://www.linuxhomenetworking.com/w...P_Server_Setup
If that is for the transfer of single file(probably not)...you can use any file transfer program which use sftp or scp.
(and gFTP is a ftp-client which can be used by your friend to access your file)
thanks
